David Study

God's Blessing

Proverbs 10:22
"The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it." (TNIV)

How encouraging. If we have God's blessing, He will make us prosperous and there is nothing that we have to for it, but trust & rely on Him! Remember this as you go through out your day. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for your blessing. You are an awesome God! I trust and rely solely on you. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Little Children

Matthew 19:14
"Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belong to such as these.'" (TNIV)

Let's have childlike faith and wonder as we go throughout our day. I want to challenge myself & you to try to incorporate childlike curiosity daily and lets see what happens...

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for reminding us to just believe and rely on you. I pray that I will have faith like a child. In Jesus' name, amen.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words

James 2:26
"As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." (TNIV)

Our actions need to reflect our faith. Of course, we are not perfect but we need to put a little action behind our faith. For example, spending time with a loved one, sharing, being nice to a stranger for no reason, smiling, etc. There are so many things that we can do. Have a great Monday and make someones day!

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for your kindness and forgiveness. Help me to share your love with those around me. In Jesus name, Amen.

All we need is Love

Romans 13:8
"Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law." (TNIV)

Wow. I know I am always on the subject of Love, but it is every where in the Bible--so I can't help it. Everyday we need to be reminded to LOVE others. That in order to be happy we need to share God's love in a gentle and humble way. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for your love. Thank you fir sending your son, Jesus. Help us to share your perfect love. In Jesus' High & Holy name, amen.

Peace Gives Life

Proverbs 14:30
"A heart of peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones." (TNIV)

Wow. I know that I do not want my bones rotting! There are times when I get envious and I have to check myself and my thoughts--that is the enemy. Normally if I feel this way it is because of an insecurity that I have, but thankfully God's Word is the cure. Since I have been reading it regularly, I am developing a self-confidence that I have never had before. So, if you ever feel envious pray about it, read God's Word and ask Him to help.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for your TRUTH. Help me to see the root cause of any envious thoughts and reveal your truths. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Good Things

Psalm 34:10
"...but those who seek after the Lord lack no good thing." (TNIV)

Find time to be with the Lord daily and he will give you everything you need. My life is changing because of it--for the better. I am dependant solely on Him. Get in the word and trust Him; He is faithful!

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for your promises and for your provision. I ask that we will grow more everyday that we spend in your word. In Jesus name, amen.
