Treat Others the Way You Want to be Treated

Good Morning!

Matthew 7:12

"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law of the Prophets (TNIV)."

I never get tired of reading this verse. I think that I need to have it posted where I can see it every day. It is such a simple concept but very hard to do sometimes. Notice the verse states "in Everything" not in some situations, but in all situations we need to treat people how we want to be treated. If you and I can keep this simple verse rooted deeply in our hearts we will make a difference in our lives as well as those around us. So, try to remember this verse as you go through out your day and see how it impacts you.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for this day. Thank you for the opportunity to share your Light with those around us. Help me to treat people the way I want to be treated in every situation. I thank you for your provision & Guidance. With much love and thanksgiving, In Jesus name, Amen.

Love & Prayers~

Have a wonderful day!!!

Never give up!

Good Morning! This month is almost over—1/2 the year gone! How fast the time is going. Proverbs 15:30 "Light in a messenger's eyes bring joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones (TNIV)." Be an example wherever you are today. Work hard, lend a hand, or give a kind word to someone. Radiate God's love by kind actions—you do not have to preach. Actions speak louder than words and the same is true with God's principles. If you are like me, sometimes you don't feel worthy because maybe you have done something embarrassing, or have said something hurtful to someone, or even just had a bad day and not been the best example. Well, I am here to tell you that God forgives if we ask him. He is faithful. If we ask wholeheartedly and sincerely He will forgive us. We have to forgive ourselves which is very hard to do, but don't let it stop you from trying to do what is right or from trying to make a difference. God will reward your efforts. Ask God to help you forgive yourself and let His love shine through you…Beautiful, Imperfect you…

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for your promises. Thank you for your faithfulness. You are awesome. Lord, help me to forgive myself when I know that you have forgiven me. Help me to move past myself and focus on you and your unfailing love. Father you are amazing and your Word tells me in Deuteronomy 7:9 "know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is a faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments (TNIV)." What hope we have in you, Lord, Thank you! Help me to make a difference for you and share a glimpse of your hope for others to see. In Jesus' High and Holy name, Amen.

It’s a New Day

Good Morning! It is a new day! Aren't you glad? Think about it, every day we have new opportunities, a fresh start--a NEW day! It is so important to get a fresh start with Jesus every morning. It does not have to take a long time. Say a quick prayer. Keep your Bible nearby for a quick read or subscribe to daily e-mail devotionals, visit inspiring websites, etc. It makes such a difference in how your day goes by getting your attitude right with God early. Psalm 118:24 "The LORD has done it this very day; let us rejoice and be glad (TNIV)." and 2 Corinthians 4:16 "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day (TNIV)." I am so thankful that God renews me daily. If I can really focus on living day-by-day, I know that I will be more productive and less stressed. Actually, not worrying about tomorrow, which is so easy to do, is quite refreshing. And that is exactly what we are not supposed to do—worry about tomorrow. Proverbs 27:1 tells us "Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring (TNIV)." Let's live literally like there is no tomorrow and watch stress levels go down and the simple pleasures in life go up!

Dear Lord, Thank you for this day! Thank you for renewing me daily and providing a fresh start with new opportunities. I pray that you will multiply my time in order for me to be the most productive. Help me be an encouragement to others and share your light and faithfulness! Thank you, In Jesus' Name Amen.

HisLight Café

Whether you are an early bird or a night owl--grab yourself a cup of coffee, cocoa, or tea and be inspired! In John 8:12 Jesus states "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." I don't know about you, but I want to have the "light of life"!!!

I pray that God will bring a wonderful, diverse mix of ladies to this site and that we will all catch a glimpse of god’s light! I want to encourage as well as be encouraged. We all need each other and have something to offer!

2 Samuel 23:4

“He is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings grass form the earth” (TNIV).

I look forward to what God is going to do!

HisLight Café

I got the idea for HisLight Café a couple of years ago. I started an online Bible study through email and then just stopped, my son got a little older and life got busier (I was working at the time too). Anyways, I have thought about HisLight Café and always thought that God put it on my heart for some reason. I have got ideas for this blog but God will have to lead me. I do not feel equipped because it always seems like I am falling down and going backwards—I know that is not from God. I love the Lord with all my heart and want to share “His Light” with everyone. I feel especially lead to encourage women. I look forward to meeting people and welcome comments.
