"But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who see what is done in secret, will reward you." (TNIV)
Isn't this refreshing! We don't have to tell people what we are doing to help others. God knows and that is all that matters. When we tell people how we are doing this and how we did that, the focus is on us--even if we don't mean for it to be, it can sound that way. Give quietly and know that God sees everything and He will reward us.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for your word. Help me to do your will quietly. In Jesus' name, Amen.
