Gentle Beauty

1 Peter 3:4

"…unfading beauty of a gentle & quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." (TNIV)

Do you ever feel like you have to make a lot of noise to be heard? This is just the opposite of what this verse is saying. By having a "gentle & quiet spirit" people will notice what you have to say more than if you are very opinionated. Normally nothing good comes from popping off opinions as they come. Think before you speak. Easier said than done, right? This is an area that I constantly have to work on—especially at home. We will be heard if we speak gently. I have had some hard lessons learned in this area and can tell you that if I had spoken gently the situation would have turned out much, much better. Let God's beauty shine through you with a gentle spirit!
